At CEROS, imperfection is a choice.
We live in a world that constantly tries to beautify everything, to make it symmetrical and predictable. Most jewelry today looks the same because everything that could make it different has been removed. The weight. The tension. The trace of the hand.
I work differently.
When I make a piece of jewelry by hand, I know from the beginning that it will not be “perfect.” And that is exactly what I am trying to achieve. The metal resists, bends slightly, reacts to fire and tools. It does not fully obey. If you force it into flawlessness, it loses its character.
Imperfection is the point where a piece of jewelry stops being a simple object and becomes something alive.
No CEROS piece is exactly the same as another. Even when I start from the same design, the result changes. Different thickness. Different surface. Different balance. These small deviations are not corrected — they are preserved. Because that is where each piece’s identity lives.
I work mainly with silver, a metal that shows its change over time. It oxidizes, darkens, wears, transforms. I am not interested in “freezing” it in a perfect moment. I am interested in its evolution. Because imperfection makes space for the human being.
For how it will be worn, how it will be hit, how it will be marked by everyday life. A perfect object is something you are afraid to live with. An imperfect one becomes yours.
Every CEROS piece I create was not made to be neutral.
Not “easy.”
Not silent.
It was made for people who are not searching for perfection, but for reality. Who understand that beauty does not lie in symmetry, but in tension. In the trace. In the mark.
That is why imperfection is not a compromise.
It is a stance.
And it is a choice.
